Purpose

This document provides information about the new 'Software Upgrades' content for Java installation.

Description

As of Catalog Version 2.0.1.1886, released 4/3/2015, Shavlik Patch now offers 'Software Upgrades'.

Some details:

• These are listed separately under a vendor of 'Software Upgrades'.
• These are intended to upgrade software from one main version to another.
• Initially these are only offered to move Java 7 to Java 8 (U40), but there may be additional Software Upgrades added in the future.
• 'Software Upgrades' are only available when using the Shavlik Patch for Microsoft System Center Plug-in. These are not offered if you are still using the catalog imported to SCUP.
