Problem:
Content publish fails with the following error: Hash verification failed on content for update 'xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx'
Cause:
This type of issue happens for patches that use a static URL for the update. For example, Adobe Flash updates do not use a separate URL for each new patch released by the vendor, they use the same URL each time. The SCUP editor stores the hash of the downloaded file in scupdates. When an older version of the patch/product uses the URL, the hash is wrong.
Solution:
Do not publish old versions of the patch when new updates are available.
